"The less fortunate have done it to themselves?" Stephie, you ignorant slut. Maybe in Candyland where you obviously grew up everything is perfect and nobody gets the shit end of the stick. But in the real concrete world where I live, SHIT HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS AND USUALLY TO GOOD PEOPLE!
Example #1 Scott Cameron. My faithful employee that I literally found in the toilet. The good ol U.S. of A. trained a perfect killer and then tossed him aside like he was shit. I gave him a chance with a place to stay, fed him and he is now my best friend in the universe and the best employee I could ever pray for. Good people get the shit end of the stick every day. Good people fuck up every now and then. A straight A student who shows promise can fuck up one night by getting drunk and waking up with her panties at her ankles. She might be poor, but she's bright and shows promise and maybe she fucked up by going to a party. I know in Candyland where Stephie is from the NO NO Police are there to stop people from fucking up, but in the real world there isn't enough funding for NO NO Police to patrol every corner looking for young promising people who might fuck up.
DRUGS! OH MY SWEET JESUS! Lots of good, hard working honest people take/try drugs. SHIT HAPPENS. I've tried/done drugs but I'm an asshole so I'm not a good example. I know lots of sweet, caring, loving, smart people who've fucked up and tried drugs as a means to "get loose". One thing leads to another and then they are addicted. Nobody wants to sell their body for Heroine. Nobody wants to suck dick for coke. No teen wakes up one day and says, "Hmmmm, I think I want to be a crack whore." People fuck up. Shit happens. Most of them are good & honest people, the rest are dicks but we are not here to judge. That's God's job. Believe in him or not, you can't judge a person because of what has happened to them or what mistake(s) they've made.
"You spread your legs when you were 15 and now need welfare to take care of you and your kid?" Kids with perfect SAT scores and promising futures get pregnant. It's called a mistake. You can't tell a person to have an abortion or to give up a child for adoption because you are not in their shoes. I know a few people who had abortions or gave up children for adoption. They have nightmares and are inches away from a nervous breakdown. It's an inner pain that they only share with close friends. Can you imagine killing YOUR baby? Can you imagine somebody else raising your child? After you've held it? After you've seen it? After you've heard it cry? Fuck me! The minute I held my child, it took over my life. I knew I didn't matter any more and I would die to provide for it. Giving it up to somebody? You don't think adopted children get abused? You don't think adopted children get sexually assaulted? Nobody can care for my child the WAY I CAN! And I know a lot of people think like the exact same way I do.

If so many women are in abusive relationships and can't get out, it must be tough. It might be slightly more difficult then Stephie from Candyland can imagine.

Last year I made $250K and I had a Morphine/Heroine/Pain Killer addiction and throw in a little alcoholism and abuse and you got me in a nutshell. Addiction isn't something you choose, it's something that you can barely control. For whatever reason a person tries alcohol, drugs, etc. they try it twice, thrice and last you remember it was a weekend thing and now you can't remember the last fucking time you were straight. You enjoy weed, then weed gets boring and you need something else (this was me btw). Then after it got boring, pain killers came into play. After Percs, Vikes, OCs, you discover that the main ingredient that you are after is Heroine (Vikes are Heroine & Tylenol). So you get into Heroine and then you discover Morphine is the advanced purified version of Heroine and next thing you know you haven't been to work in a month and you can't remember the last time you ate real food other then chocolate. I didn't want to get hooked, it happened. Shit happens every fucking day when you leave the gates of Candyland.
Same with these social security fucks. Even a schizophrenic can be a doorstop, and the majority of (mild) schizophrenics and depressed people and the fucking people with irritable bowel syndrome can still do tasks and just need some direction. Get a job at McDonald's. Fuck you." Would you hire some stupid fuck who hears voices and has to take a dump every 10 minutes? Would you let a 'Tard work in the little empire you've built? I'm an employer, I've built my business from the ground up and I've suffered for years to get it to this point. You think for one second I'm going to hire a skitzo who hears voices to answer my phone? You think I'm going to allow some fucking retard to sweep up the metal chips that are near and around my super high speed machinery? The cost of that would shatter my (and not to mention my children's) future. SSI is for people who can't work due to a physical/mental problem. I've seen cripple people park at the last parking space and put together their own wheel chair. I've seen perfectly fit people use a handicap space. All people are different. Some love the channelge, others run from it. Richard Pryor had MS. Safe to say he had millions. Do you think he collected SSI when he couldn't perform any more? I guarantee you he did. As it was his fucking right! He paid into it for years. Some people might say that with his money he didn't need to bleed the system any, but you would too if you paid into it like he did.

I own two businesses and I have a total of 32 employees. My best year self employed I made $328K in one year. I could easily say "Don't waste your time in school, it's called a brain. USE IT! And be rich like me!" But I don't. God blessed me with my ability to start, run and maintain a business. He gave you willpower and he gave others musical abilities. Just because you can do something with your brain, doesn't mean that everybody else should. People go to school half their lives to learn 1/3 of what I know in business. Does that mean it's easy for everybody? MAYBE IN CANDYLAND WHERE IT RAINS RAINBOW SPRINKLES! But not in the real world.

How is a mother of two or three supposed to find work with children to support? Child care/ day care isn't cheap. She's supposed to find a job that pays enough money to support her, her kids, her house, her food and utilities AND pay for child care? Maybe in Candyland working at the drive thru pays $18.75 per hour, but here in the real world it's under eight bucks. Put them in school? That means a part time job. Kids go to school at 8AM, that means you have to find a job that lets you come in at 8:30. Kids get out at 3PM, that means you have to leave at 2:45 to see that those lil muthafuckers are aight and didn't set anything on fire. That's six hours of work if you don't do lunch. Even if she gets a job for $10.00 per hour, that's $60 a day without taking out taxes! She's still qualify for food stamps you ignorant cunt!

Steph, you did grow up in Candyland. No money for Christmas? Delivering papers to extra spending money? Mom & Dad didn't buy you clothes when you got older? There are about a billion people that would switch lives with you in a heartbeat.
Middle class, white, suburban kid, both parents at home, both parents giving a shit to provide, decent education, parents installed a work ethic into their children, sounds like Heaven to me. I grew up with one parent, in "the" city, no education only street smarts, didn't have time for little league because I had to work/hustle to help keep food on the table, parents installed a survive at any cost ethic rather then a work ethic, etc.
Life is hard. One little mistake can take Stephie from Candyland and turn her into Steponme from up shits creek.
One too many drinks at the Christmas party. You wake up with a headache and you can't figure out where your panties went. Eight weeks later you are slightly worried that your period is late and then you realize you are with child. Suicide? Adoption? Abortion? None make any sense because you suddenly realize there is a living soul in your womb. It wasn't clear until you seen & heard the heartbeat at the gyno. You can't kill your little blip on the screen. You wuv it. After a few more months you decide that adoption is the right move. Some family will get blessed and you can go on with your life. Then suddenly you feel a flash that startles you! The baby moves and you bond with your fetus and you realize that you'd do ANYTHING to raise your child to be ...... President?! Yankees first round draft pick! A crack whore?! Anything it wants to be. Working & baby don't work out well. Guess where you end up. Welfare line. Because you feel like shit because your life sucks, you fuck a few guys to make you feel special. One cums in your twat when he said he wouldn't and you have another bun in our oven. Because you feel bad now with two babies from two men and no job and you being alone you need a drinkypoo to ease your pain. Sure that five can go in the college fund for little Tyrone, but mommy needs to relax. And then you remember. A promising life, fucked up by one mistake and the love for your unborn fetus and now you are one of them.

Tony, you're a very angry sonofabitch, and I like it. Well thought out, well written...but it's apparent you didn't actually READ my post, or you would have gotten it.
There are TWO TYPES of people who are on Government Assistance. Type A, let's call them, are on it out of necessity and are WORKING TO GET OFF IT. People like your friend Scott, or Kaos-King, or a few other who have mentioned people in their family (including my own mom) who used it and got help and MADE A PLAN AND AN EFFORT to get off of it and (in your own words) "is a normal member of society who pay taxes and helps others."
Type B people are the people who seem to think this country OWES THEM. They don't think they should have to work and the Government should just be giving them a check and food stamps and they can just stay addicted to drugs and lay around the house all day, etc. These, obviously, are the people my post was directed toward.
For your information, I didn't grow up in "Candyland", as you like to refer to it. I didn't grow up in the ghetto, but that's because I was lucky enough to have been raised in a family who had their shit together and did a good job in the working class raising me and my two siblings and we weren't poor. We had our struggles, just like every working class American had. My step mother, for example, took a paper route during Christmas one year so my parents could afford to give us a good Christmas while my dad started his computer business and was in danger of being one of the thousands of minions who was laid off from Kodak (which he eventually was). But THEY didn't pay for college, we all took out the loans, which we're all paying back now. They didn't buy me or my siblings cars, they didn't pay for whatever proms/balls we went to, they didn't pay for my brother's wedding or honeymoon (I, in fact, paid for half of his honeymoon), hell, they stopped buying us school clothes and supplies when we were old enough to work. My brother and I had after school paper routes when we were in seventh grade. They don't give us money now, except birthdays and Christmas and every once in a while will give us something if we do something impressive, like when I lost a hundred pounds and they sent me some money to buy some new clothes. I moved out when I was 19 and working two jobs. I don't have Daddy's credit card, I drive a piece of shit 91 Buick because I can afford the insurance on that and I'm trying to save up for a newer car and pay back my student loans.
I have NO PROBLEM with people who do drugs. NONE. Everyone's tried smoking pot, a little coke, a little ecstacy, acid, whatever. HAVE FUN. BUT...why should you be buying weed while you're collecting money from the Government? And why, if YOU'RE addicted to crack or whatever the fuck it is you're on, should *I* have to pay for your mistakes? EVERYONE has had some kind of event happen in their lives that could easily be an excuse for being addicted to something. Death of a parent, abusive relationship, child abuse, rape, horrible car accident, [insert traumatic event here], but not everyone is non-functional and addicted to whatever else and sponging off the Government. Look at your OWN situation, Tony. YOU were addicted to pain kilers. But did you lose your businesses and your house and your family and end up on Welfare because of your fuck up? No. Why? Because you wouldn't fucking let it. You worked DAMN HARD to have what you have, with your businesses, your lovely family, your perfect house, your pretty cars, and you weren't about to let it go to hell because you couldn't control yourself.
As for these poor girls that you seem so intent on defending, it's not my fault. So maybe the saying, "If you're not ready to raise a kid, you shouldn't be having sex" isn't applicable any longer. But how about doing it the safe way. Condom and birth control, anyone? If you can't fuck your high school boyfriend responsibly then it's not MY fucking problem, and I don't to have to pay for your mistake. You CANNOT try to tell me that every single teenage fucking pregnancy out there was the result of that what, .1% of noneffectiveness? It's from girls who get all wrapped up in "love" and bullshit. And what the hell does being adopted have to do with being sexually or physically abused? NOTHING. You can be abused by your own parents, your babysitter, your teacher, coach, neighbour, siblings, whether your adopted or not.
I know how hard it is to get out of an abusive relationship, I saw my mom, I've heard her tell her story. You've misinterpreted my statement, though. I'm saying that THAT'S WHAT WELFARE IS FOR. TO HELP PEOPLE IN SITUATIONS LIKE THAT.
As for the Schizo line, well, that was mostly farce anyway, but it didn't really fit the rest of my post, and by the end I was on a rampage and didn't bother to read my post to see how the flow worked. But that was mostly pointed toward people like my sister in law, who is perfectly functional on medication, or people who aren't mentally CRIPPLED, just a little handicapped.
As for willpower, we all have it. It's discipline. It's doing what YOU have to do to get what you want. You, you started two profitable businesses in spite of the fact that you have a grade school education. You COULD have just said, well, I didn't graduate high school, so I guess I'm just going to flip burgers and collect Welfare. No, YOU wanted better for yourself, so you fucking did it.
I have cerebral palsy. I could very easily get SSI/SSDI/Welfare and not work at all, and let the Government pay my rent and such. But I choose to work. I don't WANT to sit around and do nothing and let my body and mind atrophy. I'm smarter than that.
The rest of your post I've pretty much always addressed, so I'll spare you the redundancy, besides me saying ONCE AGAIN that this was NOT directed toward all people on Government assistance, only the people who take advantage of it.
