Yup, that's right. Method's Mom. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Lemmy is Method's biological father. It really would explain a lot.

Drake: Airheads
I know this isn't a definitive list, just what happened on my MP3 player all in a row.
By the way, Anthrax "Return of the Killer A's" is a must. From Chuck D on the opening track to Inside Out that album in the shit.
Danzig does look pretty bad ass in that there pic. The wonders of Google image search never cease to amaze me.

I listened to all those dudes, plus the hair metal stuff, and some of the hardcore metal like Anthrax etc.
Of them all I would have to say Queensryche were my favorite so kudos to this post. Now that I think of it, Fist - Fleet Street was pretty damned awesome at the time to.
And of course, AC/DC was a given in any head bangers tape collection.

Speaking as someone who went through her teenaged years in the 80's, I am proud (and not at all ashamed) to admit that I rocked out to Hair/Glam metal bands and had a hoot of a time doing it.

#1 - Did you know that Glen Danzig composed a classical album called "Black Aria?" It's about the battle of the rebel angels (shocker) and it's actually quite good despite only being slightly over a half hour long. My vote? "Dirty Black Summer."
#2 - Iron Maiden rules my fucking face off. I saw them live about 10 years ago with Queensryche. Who, by the way, I believe got ever MORE badass with the release AFTER Operation:Mindcrime when they came out with Empire. Dude... "Jet City Woman?"
#3 - Never understood the appeal of Judas Priest. Same with Motorhead. Early Megadeth was okay, I suppose. Metallica is fine, but I despise their fans. Crue? Seriously???
#4 - "Walk" by Pantera off the Vulgar Display Of Power album is quite possibly one of the most brutal things ever purposely recorded by humans.

Though I know most of this metal stuff it's not my music.
Back in those days I was listening to The Clash, Buzzcocks, Generation X, The Specials, The Beat, The Sex Pistols/PIL and of course Leonhard Cohen.
This post still brings back some nice memories about metalheads and punks coming together to smoke pot.

My oldest brother rocked hard to Queensryche when my other dorky brother was a Firehouse freak and I loved Pearl Jam. Despite me being 12 and it probably being an incredibly un-cool thing for a 17 year old dude to do; my brother took me with him and his friends to see Queensryche (Type O Negative opened while simultaneously scaring me). It was fucking AWESOME.
ALSO: I had a friend named Gravy in high school who liked to leave puzzling messages for people when he called them. I came home one day and there was a note from my mother:
"Some English-sounding guy called for you...who is 'Dave Mustang'?"

I'm 20 and listen to all of these bands on a daily basis. Especially Danzig/Misfits and Pantera. And the Scorpions. Check out the song Blackout. Actually, the entire album is gold.

Did Glenn not think that fat fuck was going to take a swing at him after he gave him a little shove? He didn't even move until his face got caved in. It was like a reenactment of the Pantera album cover.
Incidentally, the guy on that cover was a bum that they paid $50 to punch in the face or something. To lazy to look up the particulars but I'm pretty sure he got fucked up.
----------------------
That clip always cracked me up.
Totally ruined Danzig's street cred and bragging rights over studying Jeet Kune Do with Jerry Poteet.

+2 Lemmy. I am a big Misfits fan, but Danzig is also acceptable.
Glenn Anzalone used to live in my nightmares, until I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEehtlKVKps. Now I feel like he is sort of like Scut Farkus after Ralphie beat him up. Sure, he talked a big game, but after you see him taken down with a little openfisted bitch-slap to the head, he just isn't that scary anymore.

Surprisingly, 80's glam and arena rock aren't my cups of tea. Well they are, but I can see a long hair floating at the top and I'm too grossed out to drink it now. Fuck. Seriously how did that get there, I don't even know anyone with long red hair. This is ridiculous.

Out of that list Ive seen Judas Priest, Queensryche, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Megadeth, Iron Maiden and Pantera Live. The 90's ruled. G'nR was the only gig out of them the blew monkeys. Axel kept changing his skirt twice every song for no apparent reason. Then they did a Robot Rape blowup thingy that was Spinal Tap'esq in its epic failure to be impressive.
