Hello ladies, gentlemen, and all the bloggers at sea:
If you're old enough you might remember an old TV series from the late 80's on HBO called "Hardcore TV."
Great skits like "idol maker" and "Idol maker light" beer. For the polythiatstic thirst.
Of course the "we blow the world" song.
National pornographic explorer.
Etc.
Dave Konig was the host.
He married some catholic woman and hosted a catholic show with her on XM for the last couple of years. I would call in once a week and ask him questions about the HBO series disguising my voice. Not too many listeners so i would get through pretty often.
"Go ahead Caller."
"Hi, in episode three of National Pornographic Explorer, you said that porn theaters died due to the invention of the vidoe tape. How do you feel about the surge in HD Bukaki porn and how do you think that will effect the market?"
"I'm sorry listeners, I dont know how that guy keeps getting through. Dave?"
"Honey, that's just my past comeing back. You know folks, we all make mistakes in life. Mine was I sold out to hollywood. Next caller please."
In squeeky voice, "Hi, this is a question for Dave...In episode 4 you introducded a cast of Porn stars for the 'We blow the world' song...were those really porn stars or just actors?"
"Ummm...how does he keep getting through? Sorry about that again folks."
Uncomfortable pause, uncomfortable pause. Cut show to pre-recorded parody song.
Their show was canceled last month much to my suprise and dissapointment. Apparantly the hipocracy level was so high it gummed up their contracts.
To make my day completely happy, I just got a Dave Konig alert on the internet...He's a participant in the George Takai Friars Roast!.
I hope he has some call in comedy show in the future so that i can call in and ask Catholic questions!

That's actually very funny. People must really hate you. If you taped it this would be something you could play on Howard Stern. He loves that stuff and so do his listeners.
