The world won't end today, it's (once again) a load of media bullcrap.
I saw on the news (ha! i realise what this means when i say this) that they based the theory of the world ending on some theory from 1912, which was disproved theoretically in 1915, then practically in 19...whatever, but you get the point.
Now, I don't know what theory it is so you guys will have to look for it on Wikipedia yourselves.
