Movie shit, because I'm mildly to adequately drunk and bored to an extent which is more difficult to quantify, even in vague terms, which I hate, generally speaking. Still, it's a cute title. (619 hits)

There was going to be a story here, but it doesn't matter. Suffice to say I've never seen any Lord of the Rings movie or any Star Trek movie since the Wrath of Kahn. Dorks. Oh yeah...I don't have any tatoos either. Those used to be reserved for badassess. Just stop it.
Peter O'Toole, the greatest actor of the 20th century, in "Becket":

"The Third Man" - This is the second-most famous scene in the move. I was going to feature the most-famous scene, which happens to be my favorite scene in movie history, but I didn't want to ruin it for you. Besides, out of context, it doesn't mean shit, much like this scene:

"A Clockwork Orange." Hmmm. I've actually had a couple girlfriends leave me because I think this is the greatest movie ever made. Silly. I'll admit, this scene is disturbing. Very much so. I'm not a freak; I just like good movie-art. Youtube doesn't allow nudity, apparently, so we only have half of the scene here. The rest of the scene is equally brutal. Supposedly, the actress originally cast for the role quit after a few takes. Can't really blame her. Also, "Singing in the Rain" was chosen by Malcolm McDowell because it was the only song he knew by heart. Fucking genius, as it turned out. I first saw this movie with my mother when I was 12. That was awkward. Incidentally, this is my favorite movie, and I've never raped anyone.

I can remember watching Zeffirelli's "Romeo and Juliet" with my cousins when I was maybe 8 or 9 years old. I remember that this scene frightened me. It still does. A couple of years ago, my very erudite brother in Australia - the ridiculously smart brother - chided me for admiring this movie. I reminded of this scene, and he shut up. Mercutio is played by John McEnery, by the way.

ps, I could spend the rest of my life analyzing this speech, but I'm not going to. If I were going to do something like that, I would spend my time analyzing the "Poor Tom" speeches in "King Lear." Weird shit. But I'm not an English major. Still. Weird shit.
Well this is just awesome. If I could devise the perfect woman, she would come out looking and acting a lot like Katherine Hepburn.

Yes, I know she's playing a role, but I know her well enough from whatnot, and I drink almost as much as Spencer Tracy, so I'm sure she'd tolerate me.
The whole movie was brilliant, but who was the genius who combined The Doors "The End" with these opening images.

A good friend of mine was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, and he claims this movie to be the most accurate portrayal of his experiences. Joedaddy?
Hmmm. Hard to find clips from "The Big Lebowski," There's this, which is good, but doesn't really do justice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IONyLZn0pLI&feature=related
Whatever. By the way, John Turturro starred in one of my favorite movies not featured in this stupid post. It's called "Box of Moonlight."
Back to Peter O'Toole. Twenty-two seconds, motherfucker. Prick. Maybe the best movie you've never seen. "The Stunt Man." "

Only watch this movie when you're stoned. Really stoned. Seriously. "O Lucky Man": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oL7XP0ROvk&feature=related
"The Outlaw Josie Wales." This is Clint Eastwood's best movie. This scene reminds me of the first meeting between me and an Apache guy with whom I lived for six weeks. Crazy motherfucker. He called me "Pussyface," but I guess I've already mentioned that in a previous post. Anyway:

I don't think Eastwood was a great actor, but he had/has charisma in spades, and he refused to show American Indians in a negative light. I respect him for that. This is one of my favorite movies. For some reason, I think Sondra Locke is really hot in it. Whatever.

Auto +2 Kubrick.
Watching ACO with your mother has to be awkward, but then again I think watching that movie with ANYONE who has no idea what they're getting themselves into is awkward. To like that movie is definitely an acquired taste. I can completely empathize with people who love it as well as those who can't stand five seconds of it. Personally, I think it's one of the best pieces of art ever to be put on celluloid.

I also saw "Clockwork Orange" for the first time with my mom when I was around 12. She is a sci-fi nut and has a huge book collection. I'd already borrowed the book from her and loved it. I enjoyed that the teenagers spoke in that pidgin-Russian slang, which you had to learn to understand what the fuck they were talking about(luckily there's a glossary in the back of the book).
"Clockwork Orange" is still one of my favorite movies. Malcolm McDowell is the shit, and so is Stanley Kubrick.

to a girl, a pussyface is a guy who looks like he can take care of us down there proper-like. all girls, in my experience, have a pussyface, whether they know it or not.
the apache probably meant you had food stuck in your beard or something, which sounds plausible since you seem to drink alot.

O'toole is great and all, but he had as much range as a wind-up car. The greatest actor of the 20th is obviously Peter Sellers.

I need sleep. How can I sleep when the sun is shining and people need feeding and cuddling and teaching how to count to ten and all the colours of the rainbow and dandelions are rampant in the flower beds? Sleep is a luxury to me rather like whisky to you, no bad example a luxury like quilted toilet roll the really thick stuff which really does no better job than the paper stuff my grandad used and we actually, as kids, thought it was tracing paper but no it was loo roll. You have to be kind to your bum god knows the world would end if you ever were a bit mean.

I love The Third Man - when Harry (it was Harry, right) comes out of the doorway shadow it is an awesome moment.
Uh, I haven't clicked the link so I'm hoping that is the bit you mean.
