Gotta love nature. My favorite story is Exxon spending $70,000 per animal to rescue some seals after an oil spill. They had a big PR event around releasing them back into the wild -- a killer whale ate every single one of those $70k seals right in front of the press less than 3 minutes after they were released.

There was another one recently, where an aquarium and a bunch of volunteers had spent months helping some injured dolphin/porpoise (can't remeber which). They finally had a big celebration when it was healthy enough and went out to rehabilitate it to the wild. A fucking shark came and mulled the thing to death right in front of them.
