I know ubersite hates links, but this video is one of the first things I've seen on the internet since discovering such websites as spaceghetto.st to really disturb me. Stressful, extraordinary circumstances that lead to war crimes (Y HULL THAR ABU GHRAIB) make sense to me, as unfortunate as they are. However...what the fuck is wrong with these people? How many male relatives' cocks do you have to have shoved up your ass during childhood to actually want to do this to another person? What's worse is that one of the men involved is apparently proud of this shit, as the video was taken by people wishing to report him from his Myspace account.
For those that cannot watch it right away, a mentally ill black gentleman is lured into a dojo, claiming he wants to give a demonstration and that Jesus gave him his black belt. A video camera had been set up beforehand to capture a fight between him and some black cunt (apparently a former marine) with an actual black belt. The mentally ill man says repeatedly he does not want to fight, but the black cunt attacks him and he defends himself. Eventually he is knocked to the ground, and tries to give up, but the marine repeatedly punches, kicks, and eventually stomps on his head. He is then dragged out of the dojo, left to die in a back alley dumpster.
I've read conflicting reports saying that he did or did not die, and apparently people are already sending this video to the authorities and the media. I was actually about to start on a post when I stumbled on this, but...no thanks.
I'm expecting the typical fucked up jokes that come with the anonymity of the internet, and that's fine, but if any of you actually enjoy watching this video from beginning to end...

Excuse me, but whose psyche are you imaging would stand up to this? Would you argue that someone witnessing that situation in Congo should get over it, because in the middle east people are being blown into pieces?
Your logic is flawed. From this I draw the arrogant and ugly conclusion that you are useless.
And not presuming to speak for Haiku here, but he says it in his post; it's the fact that this ISN'T in a war situation that makes it so reprehensible, the fact that apparently civilised people can do such inhumane things to each other IN A CIVILISED SETTING that makes it so hard to stomach. It's a similar thing to finding out your neighbour is a serial killer or your husband is a pederast. It blindsides you. You're not prepared. Which makes the shock of it worse, which makes it more difficult to cope with.
And really, what is wrong with a little bit of "Look at the state we're in!!"? If more people cared there would be less to care about.
But of course, you only care about you and yours and you're damn proud of the fact that you don't give a hoot about anything bigger than you with your limited capacity can imagine.
But that's sweet.

I'm not saying I sympathize with them, forensic. I'm just saying I understand what seems to breed a situation like that. I'd say it's more on the higher ups to make sure there's no tolerance of shit like that, at least in the Abu Ghraib situation, anyway. They asked the soldier if anyone above him cared about what he and others were doing, and unsurprisingly to me, he replied, "Only when those pictures came out." They went on to ask him if anyone cared now, and he claimed that they just said no more cameras.

Even the most peaceful person can and will kill with adequete motivation. Yes I agree.
But horrors of war aside, there is something in our minds that acts as a inhibitory agent that stops us from committing atrocities on other humans. Otherwise we'd all be running around doing horrible things to each other constantly.
And if you want to blame the stress and horror of war on why some of these soldiers do fucked up shit, then more of them should do it. But, fortuantely, they don't.

As much as I dislike it, it makes sense that a kid signing up for the military, who is led to believe he is going to be greeted as some kind of godly liberator, would resent the natives around him and the work he is doing. Not to mention you're putting him in a situation where there seem to be no consequences for his actions. Reminds me of some quote that went something like, "Good people are no better than supposedly bad people, they just haven't been put in the right situations to do wrong."

Got home from work at 3am to find my about 14 people from my housemates bday party "chatting" drunkenly (loud as fuck) on my porch. Makes sense to me.
I wasn't exactly trying to achieve a stellar rating, or achieve anything for that matter. This video just really, really pissed me off and in my rage I for some reason wanted uber to see it. Hopefully these assholes receive some kind of punishment for this, it seems to be garnering some negative attention on the interwebs.

One time at the hospital, two cops brought in a VERY schizophrenic woman who had a very suspicious goose egg on her forehead.
I was down in the ER drawing blood when the woman started screaming bloody horror. Now it isn't at all unusual to hear the serverely mentally ill to scream and shout, but what caught my attention was what she was yelling.
"Please Lord Jesus, keep him away from me." and "Somebody please help me. He wants to kill me."
What's important to remember is that just because someone is crazy and delusional, doesn't mean that EVERYTHING they say is untrustworthy.
When I looked around the curtain of bed 6 and into the Mental Health room, I saw the woman cowering in the corner while one of the cops who brought her in stood leaning on the doorway and leering at her. He didn't know I was watching. Nor did he know that one of the ER nurses was also watching.
"They're going to get you. You're as good as dead." he sneered at her in a very low voice so as to not be overheard.
Whoops.
Vicky the nurse looked at me to see if I heard what she had heard. I nodded to her. At that point, she went into pitbull mode and ejected the cop from the ER and made the other cop watch the woman. From a non-threatening distance.
Vicky and I later had to talk with the internal affairs representative of the police department. I found out also that the goose egg on the helpless woman's head was caused by that same cop banging her head into the wall because she "attacked" him.
Funny how the delusional and terrified schizophrenic will attack someone they think is out to hurt them. Whether or not the person actually is, is irrelevant. You could be that person's life long friend but when they're actively hallucinating, you might be the devil himself.
This asshole bounced a rather small woman's head off a wall then fucked with her mind just because he was a prick and thought he could get away with it.
So I too have been despising humanity for a long while.

The only good part about watching it is that the mentally ill dude holds his own for a while, he even knocks the other guy onto one knee. The problem is he doesn't really want to fight, so he let him get back up, and the douchebag marine got some kind of sick "revenge."
